SUMMERVILLE, SC—The Management and Staff of THE SERENITY MORTUARY—HISTORIC BEAUFORT CHAPEL, along with the family, announce the passing of Mrs. Reta Bell Johnson Kennedy, 75, of Summerville, SC (formerly of the Scotts Community of St. Helena Island, SC), who entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, February 28, 2026, at her residence in the care of her beloved family. Mrs. Kennedy is the daughter of the late Mr. Cleaver B. Johnson, Sr., and the late Mrs. Christena Alston Johnson. She is the beloved mother of Mrs. Tarea L. Kennedy-DeLoach (James) and Mr. Marcus T. Kennedy.
